Peter Massesa biography

Peter Massesa was born and grew up in Magu Mwanza Tanzania. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Theater of Arts and Literature Studies from the University of Dar Es salaam Tanzania. He began his career as Primary School teacher for over 10 years in Tanzania teaching all subjects at primary school level. He had risen from the rank of Teaching in Primary school to the rank of Tutor in Teachers Training College and District Adult Education Coordinator.
In October 1994 Peter changed his teaching career to a Community development work whereby he worked with Plan international Tanzania up to May 30, 2001. Peter joined the Aga Khan Foundation (Tanzania) STEPS Project as Project Officer Community Participation, Child Rights & Gender advocacy
Since November 2005 up to date is employed by Regional Psychosocial Support Initiative (REPSSI) with its headquarters in Johannesburg as a Sub Regional Manager for East Africa based in Dar es Salaam Tanzania.
He is engaged more broadly with coordination and managing advocacy on mainstreaming and training on Psychosocial Support to Orphan and vulnerable children affected with HIV and AIDS service providers , Poverty and conflict in East Africa
